

Reinaldo Diaz joined Watch Hill Partners as a Partner in
November 2006. Before joining the firm, Mr. Diaz was
co-founder and Managing Member of D&A Capital
Management, LLC, a firm focused on asset management and on
providing advisory services to companies in the Healthcare
sector, particularly biopharmaceutical companies. From 1997 to
2001, D&A Capital structured and acted as private placement
agent for transactions that provided more than $250 million to
biopharmaceutical companies including Cephalon, Inc., Sugen,
Inc. and Creative Biomolecules, Inc. D&A Capital, through
affiliated entities, managed the Delta Opportunity Funds, a
group of hedge funds with more than $100 million in assets under
management at its peak. Mr. Diaz was Chief Investment Officer
at Delta from inception to early 2006. Prior to forming D&A
Capital in 1997, Mr. Diaz was Managing Director and Head of
the Healthcare group at Schroder Wertheim & Co., Inc. In that
capacity, he was responsible for establishing and developing
Schroder Wertheim's investment banking presence in the
Healthcare industry. In 1985, Mr. Diaz co-founded PaineWebber
Development Corporation (“PWDC”) and in 1990 he became
PWDC's president. PWDC provided financial advisory services
to healthcare clients, managed more than $225 million of capital
invested principally in the healthcare sector, and raised
approximately $700 million to fund the development of novel
biopharmaceutical and medical device products.
Mr. Diaz received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Harvard
College and his M.B.A. from Harvard University Graduate
School of Business. He is currently a Trustee of The Episcopal
School in New York City.
